Surgical services is seeking an enthusiastic Charge Nurse Manager who is well organised, a team player with an eye for quality, transition care for acute surgical services.

This role ensures effective day to day support to enable excellent co-ordination, patient flow and management across the in-patient setting, working collaboratively with the Surgical Management Team, clinical teams, ward CNMs/coordinators and Middlemore Central/Daily Operations Unit.

You will be responsible to support the ward CNM's to effectively lead in discharge planning and transition care processes. You will need to have great interpersonal skills and lots of enthusiasm.

Essential:

  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with 5 years experience, in a relevant clinical area
  • Previous leadership experience would be preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in setting standards and managing practice to achieve them
  • Ability to provide coaching and address performance issues
