About the role

As a world leader in its field, Arup offers the full spectrum of civil engineering consulting services. As part of the Civil Design team, this role covers a broad range of skills relating to civil infrastructure.

In particular, you will have the opportunity to gain site experience working on a large maritime infrastructure project of National importance.

You will also have the chance to work alongside other disciplines with exposure to a wide breadth of projects across Australasia and globally.

What will I do?


You will be expected to work under mínimal supervision within a defined area of responsibility on small and medium sized projects and be a key member of larger project groups.

This will include investigation, design, analysis and modelling, technical documentation, cost estimates, tender submissions, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets.

Provide design and technical consultation in areas such as, road design, pavement design, stormwater drainage design and water sensitive road design.

You will be responsible for checking the quality and accuracy of own and others work.
Your work will encompass authoring non-standard letters, reports and other project related correspondence.

You may be responsible for representing your team or group at external meetings and you may be involved in developing events, activities and internal projects of some complexity.

You may be required to work directly with clients, contractors and government agencies at both a technical level.

What will I bring?

Ability to communicate with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments.

Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering or similar area.

Track record in infrastructure projects and up to date experience of projects and procedures with minimum 4 years' experience.

Possess and demonstrate solid functional and/or technical knowledge, skills and abilities to deliver designs using

AutoCAD, Civil 3D or other design software.

Extensive knowledge of Austroads design guides and NZTA relevant standards.
