We are looking for a Database Engineer who will be responsible for the performance, integrity and security of our databases that support our operational, asset management and line of business systems.

This role will use your full toolkit of skills, from excellent communication, ability to translate business requirements into real system enhancements, a solutions-based approach to your work where you thrive on delivering outcomes and building relationships across the business.


A little more about the role:

  • Collaborate with business owners of information systems, system users to deliver fit for purpose, high performing and available information systems
  • Establishing, monitoring and reporting on key database availability, capacity and performance metrics
  • Migrating data and databases between platforms
  • Collaborate with domain architects in database design and integration
  • Manage data permissions, user access and database recoverability

A little more about you:

  • Relevant tertiary and/or IT qualifications with 3 years' experience in a similar role including management and operation of both Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases
  • Wide range of experience with corporate platforms including financial management systems, Microsoft Sharepoint and GIS
  • Ability to collaborate with excellent communication skills to uncover needs and requirements to create solutions
  • An innovate and continuous improvement mindset
