As a Painter's Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our experienced painting team in delivering exceptional results to our clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are enthusiastic about entering the painting industry and are willing to learn and grow.


Responsibilities:

Supply Management:

Maintain an organized inventory of paint supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are readily available for the painting team.


Equipment Handling:
Learn to handle and maintain painting equipment such as brushes, rollers, and sprayers.

Paint Mixing:
Assist in mixing paint to the desired consistency and color as directed by the lead painter.

Protective Measures:
Help protect furniture, floors, and other items from paint splatters or damage during the painting process.

Clean-Up:
Ensure the work area is clean and tidy after each job, including cleaning brushes, rollers, and other tools.

Quick Learning:

Be open to learning new techniques and methods related to painting to improve your skills and contribute to the team's success.


Requirements:

  • Quick Learner: Experience is not required; we are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the painting field.
  • Availability: Must be available to work in Napier/ Waikato and various other locations as required for different projects.
  • Hours per week: Minimum 30 hours per week. Between 07.00am 5.00pm

Monday to Friday. May occasionally be required to work on weekends.

  • Flexibility & ability to work extra hours when required
  • Clean police records and ability to pass the drug test
  • Health & Safety conscious
  • Good communication skills and presentable appearance
  • Strong work ethic and a positive cando attitude
  • Open work permit in New Zealand

Salary:
From $26.69 per hour
