Pe Welder

Job Description:
We require PE Welders to join the team.

This is a permanent full time role, with minimum guaranteed 30 hours per week Monday - Friday with weekend jobs available.

Competitive remuneration $30.00-$40.00 per hour depending on experience.

About the Role You will be based in Auckland and will be required to weld/install/fabricate PE pipes, tanks and associated fittings on our customers' sites within the region.

What you will do

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

To carry out production activities for which you have been trained and demonstrated acceptable competence; primarily using various techniques, ensuring the proper joining of components according to specifications.

To provide welding and fabrication services to our site customers, including PE welding.

Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or specifications to determine the layout and sequence of welding and fabrication Setting up jigs, fabrication rollers and pipe welding.

Inspect and assess materials for welding suitability and fabrication quality, identifying any defects or inconsistencies.
Collaborate with quality control to ensure compliance with industry standards, particularly emphasizing weld quality and structural integrity.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
Report any malfunction or damage for timely repairs.

Work closely with other team members, including engineers and fabricators, to achieve project goals and timelines, emphasizing welding tasks where applicable.

Communicate effectively to ensure seamless coordination within the production team, emphasizing welding-related aspects.

The successful applicant will

Minimum 3-year relevant and verifiable experience on the same role
Relevant certification in welding is desired butnot compulsory
Must have a good level of spoken and written English
Have good customer relation skills, remaining calm and controlled even when the pressure is on
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Knowledge of Health and Safety and the hazards of operating on construction sites
Be fit and healthy and must pass a drug test
Have a positive can-do attitude
Willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening
Able to complete basic paperwork when needed
Able to problem solve and manage time well You must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand In return we offer
