We contract to Auckland Council for street cleaning services such as changing bin liners, collecting litter, road sweeping, removing graffiti, water blasting, pavement cleaning and more


We're looking for energetic team members to join our Auckland Council Sanitation & Waste team based in Leonard Road, Penrose.

We are currently seeking Mobile Bin Runners and Mobile Bin Drivers

ABOUT YOU


Reporting to your team leader, as a Mobile Bin Runner or Driver, you will undertake a range of operational labour tasks on public highways, highway verges, public spaces and landscaped areas, including Street Cleansing and Town and City Centre Maintenance.


As a member of the General Services Team, you will be able to follow simple instructions and plans, to ensure the rapid and thorough removal using allocated plant and equipment of Detritus, Gum, litter and other materials throughout Auckland, but also ensure the highest level of attention to the cleanliness and sanitation services.

You will also be flexible and be prepared to assist in the management of a 365 day service

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collection of litter
  • Emptying of bins and changing of bin liners
  • Cleaning in outside areas around minor shops and recreational spaces
  • Operating a motorised sweeper vehicle, sweeping footpaths, parking lots and other walkway areas
  • Cleaning and maintaining city and outer public areas removing waste, debris and other rubbish
  • Demonstrating commitment to safety, health, environment and quality standards.

ABOUT YOU
You will be energetic, motivated and have a genuine belief in excellent customer service with a "can do" attitude as well as be able to work independently and safely


For these roles, it is a preferable that you hold a Full Class 1 drivers license (restricted may be considered if you are close or are able to sit your full licence) and you must be willing and able to drive either a van or box cage small truck.

These are full-time, permanent roles, 48 hours a week, so you must be willing to work on weekends. The shift is from 6am.
