The Role

Please note, this role is a hybrid position to be based out of our Christchurch, New Zealand HQ. Seequent is an Immigration New Zealand accredited employer and can provide worldwide relocation support if required.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Work with the architecture team and wider engineering team to enhance, develop and implement our corporate cloud architecture roadmap and strategy
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team and the wider business to plan and execute the transformation into a cuttingedge cloud platform company
  • Contribute to the design of highly resilient, secure, and scalable software products and services within the engineering organisation
  • Build strong relationships with key cloud service providers to leverage platform and service offerings effectively
  • Establish and nurture technical and functional relationships with collaborating companies
  • Collaborate closely with the wider Seequent engineering team, DevOps team, Architecture team, Cloud Operations team, and solution and portfolio management teams
  • Effectively manage the engagement and daytoday work of external contractors involved in software and cloud architecture

To thrive in this role you should have:

  • Extensive experience in a software/cloud architecture role or a role with a significant architecture component
  • Deep knowledge and handson experience in creating scalable and secure cloud platforms, pushing the boundaries of what's possible
  • Commitment and enthusiasm for staying at the forefront of cloud platform architecture and operations
  • Experience and enthusiasm for cloud transformation
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, empowering you to connect, coach, and mentor others, fostering collaboration and growth
  • Strong experience working with either Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and problemsolving skills
  • Proven ability to develop relationships and deliver effective presentations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
