Kinleith Mill Position:

The Kinleith Pulp Mill Business Unit is looking for a suitably motivated and versatile person to fill a full time shift position of Pulp Technician and Flexipool Operator.

This position requires working a 12-hour shift, 4 on, 4 off, roster, and participation in a callout roster.

No.2 Pulpmill area operates a large Continuous Digester, Washing and Screening Plant, Two stage Oxygen Delignification Plant, And a Bleach Plant.

These plants provide plenty of challenges, stimulation, and opportunity to learn and grow within the Kinleith heavy industrial processing environment

Our expectation is that the person selected for this role will be able to demonstrate:
Qualification & Knowledge Requirements

• Secondary school qualifications in Math and English
• Demonstrable problemsolving abilities in relation to plant and processing issues
• A willingness and capability to undertake training for all positions within the area
• Demonstrate high level of compliance with safety systems, procedures and checklists
• Proven oral and written communication skills
• Proven computer literacy in Word & Excel data entry
• Operational experience in a heavy industrial processing environment will be an advantage but is not essential.

On Job Skills

• Willingness and ability to work shift work (12 hr. 4 on 4 off shift in our case)
• Proven ability to work at height, and within confined spaces
• Good physical ability to achieve the manual task elements of the role

People Skills

• Proven ability, desire and motivation to study & train towards Fibreline Operator status
• Take pride in own work, diligent and proactive
• Proven ability to work in a team environment and able to demonstrate example
• Proven use of problemsolving techniques and ability to interpret information
• Flexible and versatile approach to other duties cleaning plant & assisting operators as required
• Willingness to participate in off job activities (e.g. Health & safety initiatives, Hazard & Operability studies)
