With brands such as Bean Supreme, Naked Cuisine, Vegie Delights, Lisa's and Kato, all produced from their modern Avondale factory, this is indeed a rare opportunity for a technically savvy Technologist with creative flair / or a commercial Chef with industrial production experience.
About the role
Here is an incredibly interesting role for a Developer who already has several years' experience under their belt and is ready to make their mark in a fast-paced environment.
In this hands-on role you will:
- Undertake endtoend development and optimisation of products and processes, both new or existing.
- Provide support to procurement and quality to recommend, evaluate and substitute raw materials to address supply chain issues or to improve cost and quality.
- Ensure all master data, formulations, packaging information, artwork and raw material specifications are accurate, and comply with all relevant legislation.
- Provide support with the design of HACCP plans, and ensure all products are designed to comply to GMP and Food Safety requirements.
- Provide training to Operators as part of the NPD and renovation process.
- Provide culinary and technical support for Food Service Marketing and Sales. This will involve assisting with onsite catering for important events from time to time so you need to be a good cook.

You have a well-rounded toolbox of skills and experience
The essentials are:

Education: Tertiary qualification in Food Technology or a related field / or 5-10 years culinary experience as a qualified Chef across a range of hospitality competencies.

Experience: you'll have a minimum of 3 years' food development experience from within a manufacturing environment.

Practical & Hands on: This is not a desk job. You're happy getting your hands dirty, relish getting stuck in in the kitchen developing recipes, and love the time spent in the factory leading trials or improvement initiatives.
