Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role

This is a challenging role with a busy and changing workload that involves assisting with delegated patient care / transfers, cleaning, housekeeping, operation set-ups and restocking.

This is a permanent time position, working 56 hours per fortnight, rostered and rotating to cover the service between the hours of 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

Perioperative Services (Operating Theatres, CSSD and Day Procedure Unit) manages acute and elective surgical and medical procedures.

We challenge ourselves to be innovative and bold, while always prioritising quality, safe and improved care to support the Wairarapa to be well.

While experience in a hospital setting is an advantage we will support the successful applicant with dedicated training in the work that our Perioperative Assistants undertake.
