With our continual challenges to improve our networks and infrastructure we have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and driven Structures Inspector to join the Infrastructure Maintenance team based in Christchurch.

You will have a solid background in civil construction or maintenance at Foreman level with knowledge of bridge maintenance and bridge construction, culverts, tunnels and retaining walls.

knowledge of the inspection process and the ability to interpret and categories anomalies. You might have come from a building or engineering inspection background.


You will get a chance to learn from our experienced Structures Inspectors to gain local knowledge and practical how-to skills for the inspection process.


He aha ngā pukenga e rapu ana tatou:What skills are we looking fo**- Current and Valid Class 1 Drivers license (Class 2 desirable)

  • Trade Qualification: either building or inspection
  • Proven experience working with timber, concrete, and steel structures
  • Willing to attend call back/outs when required along with travel overnight or for extended periods when required
  • Comfortable and competent working at heights (Scaffolding knowledge advantageous)
  • Must be fit and able, due to the nature of the physical work requirements and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
