Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Downer holds a long-term Asset Management and Facilities Management contract with the Department of Corrections and the Ministry of Justice.

This contract underpins the provision of availability of facilities to support core Government services.

The primary role will be carrying out Water and Wastewater operational duties, including plant operation and treatment management.

You must also ensure compliance with resource consent conditions and that New Zealand drinking Water Standards are reached within the capabilities of the treatment assets.

All work is completed to the satisfaction of customers and all targets (safety, quality, and productivity) are met.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
You have high levels of motivation & risk awareness, and have a 'hands-on' approach. You have a high standard of personal presentation and workmanship together with strong customer service skills. You will also bring with you;

• Knowledge of or qualifications in water and waste water treatment systems would be desirable
• Knowledge of urban and rural water supply systems advantageous
• Class 2 Drivers License would be advantageous
• Be hardworking, reliable and motivated
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to use a computer / tablet for logging job details
• Can work well and efficiently both unsupervised and within a team
• Good level of physical ability
