Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
We have a full-time permanent position (40 hours/week) available for a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner.


In this role the Nurse Practitioner will practise both independently and in collaboration with other health care professionals to promote health, prevent disease and to diagnose, assess and manage health needs.


The Nurse Practitioner intern will provide a wide range of assessments and treatments interventions, including differential diagnoses, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, and administering therapies for the management of actual or potential health needs.

The Nurse Practitioner will work in partnership with individuals, families, whānau and communities across a wide range of settings.

As a Nurse Practitioner you will also provide nursing leadership, quality initiatives and contribute to service and directorate development.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
We are seeking a nurse with the following essential skills:

  • At least 8 years' experience as a RN with a least 3 years in a Community setting
  • Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)
  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) or in the late stages of obtaining your registration if overseas
  • Registered with the nursing council NZ as a Nurse Practitioner with a minimum of 2 years of meeting nursing council requirements for a Nurse Practitioner
  • Demonstrate alignment with Te Toka Tumai values
