Tēnei tūranga - About the Role:
The Platform Manager has a holistic view of Cloud hosted and On-Premise Information Technology Enterprise platforms with a focus on the Business and Enterprise Services and Systems provisioned by these platforms.
This role is a wonderful opportunity to not only support in-flight Production Hybrid Cloud based systems but also to actively contribute to the design and implementation of these systems.
This team is part of the Digital Operations Group within the Digital Data and Insights (DDI) Branch at MBIE.
Development of staff in their chosen profession is a key focus for us.

- Configuring and managing cloud platform.
- Azure Cloud with strong experience in Azure Core services, Azure Active Directory, IaaS, and PaaS. Experience with AWS would also be beneficial.
- Exposure to and working knowledge of M365 services (Powerapps, PowerBI and Exchange Online)
- Network management and troubleshooting in Azure Cloud (Firewalls, DNS, Routing etc.)
- Designing, developing, and implementing solutions in Azure cloud.
- Automation and scripting (Azure Devops, PowerShell, ARM, Terraform etc.)
- Managing and supporting Server and Network Operating technologies.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- A good understanding of Infrastructure as a Code (IoC) concepts as well as Microsoft 365 and administration.
- A legal right to live and work in NZ.
