Cable Jointers

Our Wellington team is on the hunt for a qualified Cable Jointers to join them and work on the network up to 11kV.

Reporting to the Field Manager, you will be working within a small team and primarily responsible for the troubleshooting and finding solutions to keep the network up and running.

• Install, replace and repair underground distribution assets
• Jointing and termination of distribution assets up to and including 11kV
• Excavate and reinstate underground cable installation sites
• Carry out routine inspections, fault finding and repair overhead installations, underground cables and testing of instruments

• Provided competitive remuneration based on experience of between $32$39.5p/h for full time employment of 40 hours per week + allowances + full PPE gear and equipment provided. Paid overtime if you are required to work additional hours.

• Experience to carry out HV and LV cable jointing and terminating
• Valid NZ Drivers Licence
• Experience working as a cable jointer
• Sound technical knowledge of cables and local network systems, procedures and standards
• A strong commitment to health and safety
• A team player and 'can do' attitude with strong interpersonal skills working in a multicultural environment
