He kōrero mō te tūranga | The Role


As a member of the Intensive community support service you will be working alongside a number of people who face the challenges of living with a significant mental health diagnosis and addictions to live well in the community.


You will working collaboratively with other health professionals and walking alongside our Tangāta Whaiora to reach goals and live well, which could look very different for each person we serve.

Due to an internal transfer and the increased need for our services, we have a permanent full time position (40 hours)


These roles will work on a rotating 10-hour roster across the week, shifts are 7.30am - 6pm and 11.30am - 10pm and you will be required to be on call overnight up to 2 nights a fortnight.


He kōrero mōu | About You
We are looking for people who are resilient, solution focused, naturally energetic, have a passion for giving things a go, and a genuine interest in supporting people to achieve goals and learn new skills and develop community connections


Ideally you will have knowledge of community agencies that you can support to link people in to as natural resources.

You will be required to provide medication support, however; training will be provided.


No two days will be the same, and you will need very good organisation skills to schedule and deliver your supports.


To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have a Level 4 Health and Well-being Qualification (or similar), however; if you're willing to commit to working towards this, then we would love to hear from you.

Experience in mental health is preferred, however, not a requirement.

You'll be culturally respectful and non-judgemental - a strong understanding of Māori and Pasifika cultures is advantageous.
