You will be responsible for driving the overall business strategy, sales, and growth of the sales division for Toyota Material Handling for AB Equipment.

In this fast paced role, you will oversee all aspects of the company's operations, including sales, marketing and key account management.

Working closely with the sales team to ensure effective sales, diversification and growth expansion strategies in the material handling industry align with the company's overall vision and commitment to delivering exceptional products and customer service.


What you'll need to succeed:

  • Proven track record of success in a leadership role within the industrial equipment industry (preferably in material handling)
  • Experience in leading and developing a high performing Sales team
  • Demonstrated experience in driving business growth, profitability, and operational excellence
  • Strong business acumen, financial literacy, and decisionmaking skills
  • Customercentric mindset with a proven ability to collaborate, build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Actively participating as a member of the AB Equipment (ABE) Leadership team; developing and executing a comprehensive business strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives
  • Leading and managing the operations of Toyota Material Handling in New Zealand
  • Providing strategic guidance to the executive team and department heads, ensuring alignment with overall vision
  • Identifying emerging market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform business development strategies
  • Building and nurturing a highperforming and engaged team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Driving operational excellence, performance, and profitability
