Permanent part time - 32 hours per week

Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
The ISR teams overall aim is to contribute to a reduction in family harm/violence.

  • The team review a daily list of episodes that have taken place across the Waikato city and rural areas. You will attend Safety Assessment meetings(SAM) tables alongside other agencies to discuss cases, manage risk and provide any relevant information from a Health perspective. This is a seven day week service, therefore staff are rostered to rotate around.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Staff Commence at 0800 hours reviewing the daily list provided by ISR
  • Prepare for attendance at the daily SAM meeting x2 SAM meetings per day
  • Liaise with the SAM attendee and provide support with completion of workload
  • Complete plan lead work Complete any Key Worker notification and triage the most important notification

  • Skills and experience you'll need to be considered for the role:
  • Registration, or be eligible for registration, with the Social Workers Registration Board of New Zealand.
  • Hold a current full New Zealand drivers licence.
  • You will be a highly skilled communicator with a commitment to fostering partnerships and interagency collaboration and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

The Integrated Safety Response (ISR) is a police-led multi-agency pilot that works collaboratively with key Government and non-Government agencies reviewing all incidents of family harm that occur in the Waikato with the primary aim to assess the risk of family harM/Family violence that is occurring and intervene with an integrated, cross sector safety plan to reduce the escalation of harm, prevent further harm and connect families and children with the support they need.
