About the role
***We are looking for a Senior Associate with 7 to 10 years commercial disputes experience, to join our Litigation department in our Auckland office. You will be involved in some of New Zealand's most complex and major commercial litigation and arbitration.

Bell Gully's litigation practice is New Zealand's largest and widely acknowledged as its strongest.

With a team of experts covering the full range of commercial, public and private law expertise, our practice deals with complex and contentious commercial disputes in all areas, including banking and finance, corporate and securities, insolvency, insurance, construction, intellectual property, and public law.


Ideally, you will be a New Zealand qualified lawyer who has gained experience from another leading law firm in the area of general commercial litigation and/or arbitration.

Applications from qualified solicitors returning to New Zealand will also be considered.

Experience and qualifications

  • 7 or more years of relevant postqualification experience (Senior Associates), including private practice or inhouse.
  • Large commercial disputes experience.
  • Strong technical knowledge and commercial judgment.
  • Right to work in New Zealand.
