About the role
There are thousands of components that are used on Electron across several global Manufacturing sites. Rocket Labs operates a Multi Echelon Supply chain with Global and local supply and distribution.


The Logistics Team at Rocket Lab Supports the Global Supply Chain [Procurement, Warehousing, Production and Launch Operations teams] by facilitating all planned and unplanned movements of material.


  • Bulk Storage and Retrieval
  • Remote site inventory controls
  • ITAR Tracking.
  • Fleet, Yard and Traffic Management.


The Logistics Lead is responsible for leading an agile team responsible for coordinating the on-time delivery and freight management of all Inbound/Outbound freight including any production work in process movements between manufacturing/test sites and ensuring all ITAR compliance is met.

Essential skills

  • 5+ years previous relevant logistics experience
  • Team leading experience
  • A strong understanding of MS Office software
  • A cando attitude, open to learning with good organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build working relationships
  • Understanding of international shipping regulations
  • Expert knowledge of the transport of DG by all modes
  • Knowledge of ERP systems
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and able to build working relationships
  • Proven Team lead and development experience

Desired Skills

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Exposure to international shipping regulations, ideally ITAR
  • Cost center management experience
  • Forklift license (preferable)
  • Class 2 Drivers Licence
