The Role


We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team and help deliver solutions that make the world a better place.

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and be at the forefront of innovation for Seequent.


As a Senior Backend Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Designing scalable and robust cloud-native solutions
  • Designing and publishing APIs
  • Investigating and mitigating performance issues
  • Advocating for quality, security and performance improvements
  • Ensuring that code meets our internal standards
  • Enabling junior members of the team to improve their contribution
  • Working with product and other external stakeholders to capture requirements and domain knowledge

  • PostgreSQL
  • Github Actions
  • Windows, Linux

Tools we prefer:

  • PyCharm, Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code
  • Atlassian Suite (JIRA, Confluence, etc)

This role could be a good fit for you if you have:

  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Significant PostgreSQL database experience
  • Brilliance, drive and motivation to work in a highly technical environment
  • A high level of experience in coding practices, API design and microservices
  • Experience in Secure SDLC environment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication skills, and a strong "teamfirst" mindset.
