If you are passionate about making a difference in your community, then this full-time Pasifika Librarian position could be the role for you.
The position will be based within the Māori & Multicultural Services team.About the role:
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is truly passionate about, and has previous experience working with Pasifika communities.
You will work closely with other colleagues to develop programmes and activities which reflect and promote Pasifika values, culture and language.
About You:
As a confident communicator and relationship-builder, you will bring the following skills and experience with you:
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with Pasifika communities
- Ability to promote respect and awareness of Pasifika languages and cultures
- Development, implementation, promotion and evaluation of Pasifika services
We are looking for enthusiastic, energetic, self-motivated, customer-focused and digitally literate people with the skills to provide a welcoming, professional and positive library service.
Our council is a bicultural organisation so you will be willing to support our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in all that we do.
