We have a
Senior Dietitian opportunity available for experienced
New Zealand Registered Dietitian to join our dynamic and supportive inpatient team within the
Nutrition and Dietetics Service based at
Auckland City Hospital.

This role is part of the inpatient Dietitian team and would see you working
permanent, part-time **(24 hours /week) Monday to Friday, with roster weekends.

This role will primarily be based in our medical team where you will be:

  • Work across the inpatient services
- involved in reviewing and evolving the models of care within our services
- supported to enhance your skills and knowledge in the comprehensive management of complex inpatients
- supported to lead clinical education and quality improvement initiatives
- working in partnership with an individual and their whānau to provide client / family / whānau centered care

  • Optimize patient experience by utilizing your excellent clinical and interpersonal communication skills
- collaborating with team members and other work groups to achieve our service objectives.

Nga Pūkenga Motuhake | Important Skills
As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • New Zealand Registered Dietitian with a current Annual Practicing Certificate
  • 6+ years postgraduate clinical experience preferably working within an inpatient clinical dietetic setting
  • Full, clean NZ Drivers' License
  • Be a great connector of people and ideas
  • An understanding of bicultural issues and commitment to Te Tiriti O Waitangi
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Effective time management, flexibility, prioritisation and organisation skills
  • Drive, energy and initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
