We are seeking a senior tax leader to join the Group Finance team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a senior tax professional to lead a tax team that works across several jurisdictions (particularly New Zealand and Australia) and addresses a range of tax issues.

What will I be doing?

  • Managing the Group Finance Taxation team
  • Ensuring that SkyCity meets its New Zealand, Australian and other international tax requirements
  • Providing tax advice on a range of issues
  • Leading and implementing tax governance initiatives
  • Managing tax risk across all of the jurisdictions in which SkyCity has tax obligations

What do I need to be successful in the role?

  • Be a Chartered Accountant (or have an equivalent qualification) and have at least ten years post-qualification experience in a large complex organisation
  • Be experienced in managing tax risk, providing tax advice and managing tax compliance for large corporate entities
  • Have a deep understanding of New Zealand and Australian taxation requirements
  • Understand transfer pricing principles
  • Understand tax software and relevant technology tools
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Have the ability to grow relationships with internal and external business partners
  • Have the ability to lead a team of high-performing taxation professionals.
