The kindergarten is located on the eastern side of Masterton. The families are predominately from the local area and are supportive of the kindergarten and the teaching team.

Kahurangi caters for the diverse needs of families in the wider community due to the flexibility in hours children can be enrolled for.

The kindergarten is well resourced both indoor and outdoor and environments are a key focus of the team.

We are licensed for 40 children who attend for 6 hours each day. You will join our team of 7 other teachers.

We are looking for an ECE teacher who:

  • is a reflective practitioner with sound knowledge of current pedagogy and practice who can work very effectively in collaborative way
- has a strong knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and working in a way that acknowledges the dual heritage of Aotearoa
- has an ability to work with parents as partners in their children's education particularly with families with complexities
- engages in effective self-review and professional growth processes
- has a passion for working with children 0 - 5 years of age within a whānau-based approach.

Duties to commence Term 3 or by negotiation.
