  • Waitemata**We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join Te Whatu Ora
  • Health New Zealand, within the newly formed Service Improvement and Innovation Business Unit, working in the Māori Health Pipeline programme. This role is based in Smales Farm, Takapuna.


As a Research Fellow within our Māori Health Pipeline team, you'll play an integral part in our programme of work by developing screening approaches that design-in equity and undertake research that complements and extends the team's work.

You will be adept at curating and analysing data and helping to guide studies along the research pathway.

Collaborating closely with others in the group, you'll spearhead specific work streams, champion Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and drive ongoing quality improvement.

You'll be the conduit in the team, sharing knowledge through literature reviews and presenting our findings in-house and at wider conferences.

Alongside managing research resources, a crucial part of your role will be to support the development of our emerging researchers in the team.


Some of the programmes of work within the Māori Health Pipeline include HPV Self-testing, Lung Cancer Screening, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and Atrial Fibrillation studies and Endometrial Cancer Microbiome studies.
