Hours - This is a casual role with no guaranteed hours or days. In this role you will be covering sick (oncall) and annual leave.

Location - Rangiora Birthing Unit, Rangiora

Salary:

  • Starting from $51,770 to $61,540 per annum. Based on the NZNO Nursing and Midwifery collective agreement.

Mō te tūnga - About the Role
Rangiora Maternity is situated in a lovely rural setting 20-30 minutes - drive from central Christchurch. It is a 10 bedded Primary Maternity Unit, providing both birth and postnatal care.

There is also an outreach obstetrics and gynaecology clinic held at the facility to ensure care closer to home for wahine/women who live in North Canterbury.


The unit forms part of the Rangiora Health hub which also has outpatient clinics for a range of public health services.

The Rangiora Health Hub is continuing to grow in response to needs of the community.

As the Hospital aide you will be responsible for:

  • Cleaning and tidying the birthing rooms
  • Managing discharge cleaning of each postnatal room
  • Stocking
  • Day to day housekeeping tasks
  • Delivery of meals outside kitchen hours
