Tower is currently seeking a skilled and dynamic Senior Assessor to join the team to support our customers
.


As the Senior Assessor, you will contribute to the success of Tower by accurately assessing house and contents damage for Tower customers.


Reporting directly to the Manager Property Assessing, you will support Structural Assessors with the management of large loss claims as well as review all open large loss house claims on a monthly basis.


Additionally, you will provide quality service to our internal and external customers through responsive assessing, controlling costs, and selective auditing to ensure customers, repairers and suppliers are treated equitably.


You can expect to be across the following:

  • Meeting customer expectations and following up on satisfaction levels.
  • Liaising with contractors/ repairers/ approved & preferred suppliers and agreeing what action is required to repair damage in accordance with policy conditions.
  • Agreeing what corrective action should be taken in cases where the contractor/provider has not meet standards and ensuring that issues are resolved.
  • Ensuring correct repair procedures are instructed in accordance with building regulations/legislation.
  • Identify risks, health, safety and environmental hazards within the working environment and understand the appropriate action to undertake when identified.

What you'll need


We are looking for someone who loves to work as part of a team, is reliable, punctual and has a friendly and engaging personal style.

Additionally, you will need a strong focus on attention to detail and delivery of agreed tasks, as well as being customer focused.


To be successful in this role, you will also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A building trade or associated qualification is necessary.
  • Hands on experience in structural repair procedures and standards
  • Prior Assessing and Loss Adjusting experience
  • Thorough knowledge of H&S and the Building Act
  • Understanding of building contracts
  • Experience in administration, cost control, and the preparation of reports
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Computer Skills (MS Office, Web Browsing, Digital Images)
