New Entry to Speciality Practice (NESP) Coordinator, Counties Manukau, Te Whatu Ora
Opportunity to support future workforce in mental health nursing: Fixed Term 1 year 1.0 FTE

This role will have active leadership and coordination within our established NESP program however will also work with all nurses new to MH&A or transitioning to this specialty area.

You will be involved in onboarding, orientation, recruitment and workforce support and development.

As the NESP coordinator, you will work closely with other professional leaders, cultural leaders, operational managers and our diverse mental health workforce.

You will be supported to enhance and develop new to practice clinicians entering our services, contribute to best practice approaches and be a key leader in the growth and development of our specialist services workforce.

Within this strategic role, you will work across our Mental Health and Addictions services in the Counties Manukau district but also develop key relationships and networks externally within Te Whatu Ora as part of the NESP program.

This position can offer you an opportunity to stretch into senior nursing, participate in strategic leadership and service development and be at the forefront of workforce development as our mental health services adapt and improve in the midst of national system changes.

This could be an opportunity to grow your nursing leadership and be a part of a team with a focus on supporting the development of skilled clinicians who provide quality care and equitable services for our tanagta whaiora and whaanau.
