Monday to Sunday (flexible hours)

Hourly rate:
$29.70 per hour
We are currently looking for hard-working, customer-oriented Yard Assistants to ensure the smooth running of our operations. Reliability and right attitude are key to succeeding in this role. You should be hard working, energetic and willing to go the extra mile to achieve results for our customers.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

  • To Assist in the day-to-day operations of the yard
  • Dealing with customer queries and issues
  • Determining customer requirements and advising on vehicles range, price, delivery, warranties and help them with the vehicles use and care.
  • Showing vehicles to the customers and getting the vehicles ready for the testdrive such as putting yellow plate on the vehicle, checking enough fuel, WOF and service is updated and taking record of customer's information.
  • Test driving vehicles with customers when needed
  • Record customer's timings for the test drive vehicle and transferring the NZTA fines to them if any
  • Collecting the required information from customers for vehicle finance
  • Assist in sign up customers upon approval of motor vehicle finance (i.e. preparing contract and getting the vehicles ready for delivery)
  • Drop off import vehicles to the compliance for inspection
  • Getting the instock vehicles ready before display
  • Collecting MR2 as well as vehicle registrations when required
  • Check delivered stock against orders and ensure it is in good condition
  • Maintaining record of the accessories such as batteries, stock, stationery, promotion etc.
  • To assist moving the vehicles time to time for the vehicle presentation in the Car Yard.
  • Determining all vehicles have WINDOW CARD (details such as vehicle make, model, manufacturer year, colour, engine size along with price, vehicle emissions and energy economy label along with safety rating)
  • Drop off motor vehicles to the panel beaters for the any denting and painting job.
  • Assist in the promotional activities time to time and being vigilant at all times
  • Ensure any issues concerning customer care are reported to the Manager
  • Open and close Car Yard and Keeping the Yard neat and clean
  • Ensuring all fire exits and escape routes are kept free from obstruction.
  • A positive attitude with ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.
  • Available to work on weekends, and public holidays.
  • Able to start early and finish late shifts when required.
  • The ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Be a physically fit, hardworking, and reliable person with great attention to detail
  • A passion for providing excellent customer service and always putting the customer first
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision and accuracy
  • Be able to Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
  • Committed and reliable
  • Time management skills and ability to work unsupervised
  • Enjoy coming to work and willing to be part of a team.
  • No Criminal Record and able to clear the drug test
