Working as part of a team to share knowledge, support the members of the planning network and input into network activities as required.

Responsible for preparing, maintaining and monitoring project schedule(s) for the projects delivered under Utilities.

You'll bring experience and significant added value to this project by being proactive, engaging with stakeholders to allow the delivery within the tight time frames proposed.

This position will form part of our newly centralised model whilst providing a pathway to accelerate your career. This full-time permanent role is based in Auckland, New Zealand.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare resource and cost loaded detailed project delivery schedules, for allocated projects/work packages (for tenders), using past construction knowledge and experience that accurately reflect the conditions of the contract, design and specifications.
  • Maintain and update the project master schedule, where applicable, incorporating subcontract schedules, to ensure appropriate execution of work package plans are completed as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Downer's standards and requirements as set by Utilities Performance Commercial & Risk Team, in terms of Schedule Quality and Change Management.
  • Perform delay analysis as needed by the Contract and support with suitable narrative. Manage/ undertake, review and analysis of sub
-contractor schedules to confirm alignment with good scheduling practice and Downer standards and requirements.

  • Assist in the development of project practices and procedures.
  • Undertake reporting requirements of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with PMO Chief Planner on various scheduling related initiatives.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

  • Proficient computer skills including Primavera P6 (essential) and MS Project.
  • High levels of verbal and written communications skills.
  • Power BI knowledge and working experience.
  • Minimum 10 years prior Project Scheduling experience.
  • Ability to visit multiple site locations including interstate travel when required.
  • High quality administrative skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of CPM scheduling concepts and delay analysis techniques.
