The role

As a
Foundation Crew with Northpower, you'll be assisting with excavating and creating access tracks, crane pads and concrete encasements around trans line structures and to perform a range of tasks required for site preparation and refurbishment of Grillage, baseplates on Tower structures and some additional tasks.

This role will be reporting to the Supervisor and you'll be based at our Hamilton Depot.

You will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Deal with Landowners issues and queries regarding EMF and NZECP3
  • Plan, schedule and manage planned maintenance activities
  • Prepare regular reports on work achieved
  • Arrange and conduct cable standover duties
  • Carry out audits on work carried out to ensure compliance with the Act is consistent
  • Professionally handle all the complaints, conflicts to achieve the required outcome for both the Landowner and Transpower

What we're looking for?

Ideally, you'll be working on a variety of exciting projects and be someone who enjoys getting stuck in to get the job done.

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate the following:

  • Background as a civil worker with proven experience in excavations and concrete work
  • Clean, full class 1 licence essential (Class 2, 4 and 5 are also desirable)
  • Preferably have experience with a range of excavators, machine sizes ranging from 1.5 to 23 tonnes
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
  • A great work attitude and willingness to be part of a diverse team along with a strong focus to health & safety
