About the role:

In this capacity, the Company Accountant will report directly to the General Manager, providing comprehensive assistance in all matters pertaining to accounts, in addition to occasional ad hoc administrative responsibilities. The successful candidate will assume responsibility for monthly reporting, reconciliations, as well as managing GST and FBT returns, collaborating closely with a counterpart in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable, and an external Accountant.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generating and processing invoices
  • Managing monthly reporting for the General Manager
  • Reconciliations
  • Completing GST and FBT tax returns
  • Offering support in accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Answering the phone when required

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • A minimum of three years' experience in a comparable accounts role
  • Experience with MYOB EXO and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to interact with both internal and external customers
