We are seeking a customer-focused experienced electrical apprentice to join our team on a full-time basis. You will be paid between 27-31 per hour depending on your experience. You will be working a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 50 hours a week. This job may require you to travel within the Canterbury region.

Duties & responsibilities:
If you have a strong passion for dealing with electrical tasks and assisting our valued customers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you In this role, you will be responsible for:

Electrical tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Pre wire-running cables, drilling, mounting flush boxes, and digging trenches.
  • Fit off
- hanging lights, mounting socket outlets, towel rails, cutting downlights.

  • Maintenance
- fault finding, fixing lights, oven, heaters, replacing lights, water cylinder repairs, switchboard upgrades.

  • Underfloor and inroof tasks
- running cables for alterations.

General workplace management tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Cleaning up after the job
- removing rubbish, sweeping, vacuuming, wiping,

  • Loading and unloading van and trailer
  • Picking up materials from suppliers
  • Cleaning, sorting, and stocking supply garage
  • Cleaning and maintenance of work vans
  • Maintenance
of tools

Administration tasks include but are not limited to:

  • Completing job cards recording details of jobs completed, material used and hours
  • Product research
  • Health and Safety documentation
  • Attending staff meetings or training

Requirement:
At least New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Trade (Level 4) or

relevant experience
