  • A fulltime position is available with the hours of operation for this position being an 80hour fortnight, currently Monday to Friday between 7:00am to 5:00pm. As the digitisation of records increases the needs of the service will change which may result in the hours of operation extending.

Mō tātou Ratonga | About our Service
The Clinical Records Department provides a digitisation service for many areas of the Waikato Hospital each day.

These records must be reliably and readily available to internal stakeholders (Emergency Department, Wards, Outpatient Clinics, Auditors, and Clinicians etc.) and/or the patient directly.

These records must meet the requirements set out in The Public Records Act 2005 and Archives NZ legislation.

We are seeking a customer focussed person with prior experience or exposure within information and records management, electronic records management, and data quality.

You must have a commitment to work to a remarkably high quality and standard. Applicants need to pay attention to detail and work to a high degree of accuracy.

  • Applicants will need to clearly display strengths with managing multiple tasks, conflicting priorities, attention to detail and the ability to adapt at a moment's notice. Your command of the English language must be clear and concise.
  • Clerical experience is essential and a working knowledge of computerbased systems, e.g., Microsoft Office suite and digitisation software is preferred. Please give a brief outline of your experience in relation to how it translates to this role within the required cover letter. Knowledge of the hospital environment is required.

Responsibilities of the role:


The successful applicant will be expected to digitise records, complete quality assurance activities, move between the functional tasks within the team with ease, prioritise and multitask and be open and willing when asked to support the wider records teams to meet the needs of our patients, stakeholders, and partners.
