Opportunity with CMW Geoscience

We are looking for an experienced
Principal
Geotechnical Engineer who can be based in one of our locations across
New Zealand.

As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at CMW, you will be required to work closely with and mentor a team of Geotechnical Engineers by delivering design solutions, providing advice and technical support.


Furthermore you will be involved in:

  • Working with the technical team to develop, provide and promote design solutions, options and initiatives to meet client needs
  • Planning and monitoring the use of resources and expenditure to meet internal & external objectives
  • Ensuring that the projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Develop/contribute to technical presentations and publications as required and attend forums conferences and symposia to promote CMW
  • Our teams are engaged working on a variety of work some of which includes:_
- _ Variety of infrastructure projects_
- _ Renewable energy projects (wind, solar & geothermal)_
- _ Commercial & Residential land development projects_

Skills and Experience required:

  • You will hold a bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or similar
  • Have a minimum of 15 years of experience working in a consulting engineering environment
  • Having a professional Engineering (CPEng) status or working towards it would be held in high regard
  • Experience with managing and reviewing technical project documents is a must
  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail is a must
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written as you will be dealing with various internal and external stakeholders at different levels
  • You will also need to have good computer literacy skills and be proficient with various MS Office products and other systems
