THE OPPORTUNITY
Contour is looking for a motivated and experienced professional to join our Nelson based team.

As a key member of the 'internal' trade sales team, you will evaluate architectural plans, take off quantities, estimate time and materials.

Working alongside the Windows Manager, you may be required to assist with window measures, ordering materials, coordinating with clients and builders and general project management.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurately and efficiently takeoff material quantities from architectural drawings
  • Identify errors, issues or opportunities for improvement with client's drawings or technical information
  • Prepare quotations and proposals in Ostendo, ready to present to the customer
  • Define technical requirements to ensure the quote can be completed accurately and efficiently
  • Work closely alongside the sales team to implement remedies, improvements and requotes

ABOUT YOU

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to establish strong relationships
  • Building/Construction experience, ideally in the manufacture of aluminium joinery
  • Trade qualified in Aluminium Joinery or similar
  • Previous estimating experience is essential
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability
  • Demonstrated competency with a variety of programs is essential, including X1, Ostendo, Fab Max, Microsoft Office products and, ideally, CAD software
  • Strong customer focus with an eye for detail and a sense of urgency to achieve results
