The Private Cloud Squad provides foundational server provisioning, vulnerability management, compute and configuration management services to our ASB Technology teams.

As we begin executing our Cloud New strategy, we are looking for a senior Infrastructure consultant with the relevant experience and skill to lead the delivery of long-term initiatives on the Private Cloud squad's roadmap that link up to this strategy.

You'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with some interesting and complex pieces of work that integrate on an enterprise scale, all while being part of a smaller squad that makes their own decisions about how to work through prioritisation - so your voice will be heard, and your opinions valued.

• 5+ years' experience with Standard Operating Environment design, common lifecycle concepts, and server provisioning archetypes
• 5+ years' experience in Windows and Linux system administration
• 5+ years' experience with secure configuration management toolsets
• Strong understanding of patching and vulnerability management toolsets
• Strong understanding of UX and UI concepts
• Strong understanding of automation and scripting
• Strong understanding of DevOps, infraascode, pipeline and automation capabilities
• Strong understanding of VMware environments

• Is aware of security, compliance, risk and audit demands
• Has good exposure to Cloud concepts and principles
• Is comfortable liaising with our principal engineers and architects to develop and implement SOE and lifecycle frameworks as part of our Cloud New strategy
• Knows the Agile ways of working
• Has good DevOps knowledge and experience
• Can also help automate and enhance change/run activities for the squad
• Has proven and extensive documentation, mentoring and knowledge sharing skills
• Is comfortable working in a banking environment with regulatory requirements

• Packer and Terraform knowledge and understanding
• SaltStack, Chef or Ansible knowledge and understanding
• RedHat Satellite knowledge and understanding
• Tanium or Endpoint Configuration Manager knowledge and understanding
• Essential 8 Cyber Security Model knowledge and understanding
• VMware Certified and/or relevant industry experience
• Azure Certified and/or relevant industry experience
