Established in 2005, locally owned, were an engineering business that has grown from 2 to our existing 14 + staff.
We have a great social culture within our workshop and looking for the right trade-qualified person to join our capable & experienced team.
Situated in Waihi, doorstep to the Coromandel & all that it has to offer in the way of hunting, diving, fishing, tramping & the outdoors in general.
Only a 45minute drive to Tauranga & just over an hour to Hamilton or the Bombays.
We offer the right applicant not only a lifestyle in a smallish community-minded town but also a good hourly rate to match.
Currently working in mining, structural steel, transport repairs, quarry crushing, forestry, cowshed work & other general maintenance including boats, car trailers & farm implements.
Skills required for Fitter/Turner:
- Able to read shop drawings.
- Line boring.
- Experience with centre lathes, milling machines.
- Drilling.
- Hydraulic rams rekit & full remanufacture.
- Unsupervised site work (normally fitting type work).
- Punctual & have good time management.
- Committed to safe working practices.
- Welding.
- Worked with heavy & light steel.
