Barge Master

To support our consistent and growing workload, we are looking for a Barge Master to join our construction projects team.

This is a permanent role, based in Auckland, working on one or more of our sites as required.

Our projects are varied, from maintenance in a port environment to construction of new and extensive marina facilities and include dredging, piling and concrete placement.

All of our work is conducted from work barges so the Barge Master takes responsibility for everything that happens on a day to day basis.

Key tasks will involve ensuring that appropriate methodology and sequencing of construction tasks is understood and agreed on by all parties both on the barge and on support vessels.

You'll need to have a strong understanding of piling techniques as applied in a marine construction environment. You'll also be experienced in leading teams of workers to deliver safely on work commitments.

We typically start work at 06.30 am Monday to Friday with occasional - but not every - Saturday working, for a minimum working week of 40 hours.

For this your annual salary will be between $130,000 to $155,000 and we also offer free health insurance.
