About the role:
As a Solutions Architect, you will work on customer engagements associated with the FIS Modern Banking Platform (MBP) Solution. MBP is a new and growing SaaS core banking offering.
It is a market leading 3rd generation Core Banking Platform suitable for some of the largest banks and the wider market.
Working on a major banking transformation project, you will use your expertise to influence the selection of systems and software for our environment that supports vital business processes.
Location is flexible and could be based in Auckland or Wellington or elsewhere in the North Island. Regular travel to Wellington will be required.What you will be doing:
As a Solutions Architect you will play a pivotal role in a major modernisation project
You will:
- Work as part of the largest Financial Services Software vendor in the world on a large and challenging transformation initiative with a significant banking client
- Engage effectively with Csuite client stakeholders and providing robust and innovative solutions to meet their requirements
- Drive the architectural design process with the client and internally within FIS
- Design solutions that work with FIS and the client's standards and policies
- Work across a wide range of business and technical domains and collaborate effectively with onshore and offshore teams to deliver to the client's requirements
- Document functional product solutions as well as key FIS financial services opportunities
What you will need:
- At least 10 years' experience in a Solutions Architect capacity
- Experience working with SaaS/Cloud based solutions such as Azure/AWS
- Knowledge of modern architecture such as PostgreSQL and Kubernetes
- Previous exposure to working with core systems replacement/large IT transformation activities
- Proven experience in large complex change with direct engagement and influence with executive clients and sponsors
- Sound experience working with complex integration challenges
- Experience with Financial Services/Banking is not essential, however, exposure to working in large corporate environments on large complex programs is a must
- Polished communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders
- Knowledge and ideally certification in Architectural frameworks such as TOGAF etc
- Knowledge of architectural governance processes, standards and artefacts
