ANZCO Foods Canterbury have an opportunity for a Bio-tissues Technician to join the team. This role will see you assist in the manufacturing operations of the bio-tissues processing unit at ANZCO Foods Canterbury. Reporting to the Bio-tissues Manager this is a full time permanent position.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Handling animal tissue samples through the manufacturing cycle including raw material harvest
  • Preparation of chemical solutions according to SOPs including accurate record keeping and filing
  • Cleaning, hygiene and sanitation of processing equipment and environment
  • Creation of manufacturing records relating to biotissues processing
  • Daytoday assistance in processing batches
  • Maintaining inventories of chemicals and consumables stocks
  • Operating in a cleanroom environment

About You:

  • Recent and relevant handson laboratory experience in an aseptic environment
  • Recent and relevant experience working in a meat or food processing environment
  • Ideally, experience operating under Quality systems eg ISO17025 or ISO1348
  • Excellent attention to detail and record keeping
