We are looking for a HR Advisor for our client based in Penrose to work sole charge in a generalist HR role handling employment relations, performnace management, employee policy/process and recruitment needs.


This role handles manufacturing, warehouse, sales and retail roles - prior experience in these sectors is advantageous but not necessary.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide generalist HR and ER advice, support and training to managers and staff
  • Work closely and collaborate with the SLT across all things people and ER
  • Take ownership of all recruitment needs throughout the organization working alongside hiring managers to maximise recruitment, retention, onboarding and strategy
  • Provide a high level of HR support to people leaders and internal teams
  • Provide people advice on and development initiatives to support
  • Process payrolls in a timely and efficient manner in conjunction with our outsourced payroll provider ensuring relevant legislation is adhered to.
  • Take ownership of accurate and timely data entry, records management across personnel files
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years prior experience in a HR Advisor role within NZ
  • Detailed knowledge of current NZ employment law and HR practices
  • Proven experience in providing HR advisory services including on employee relations matters, working alongside, and advising hiring managers
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships to facilitate accomplishment business goals
  • An inclusive and approachable working style
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
