Job Description

As stadium design and construction experts, BESIX Watpac is proudly leading the Kōtui consortium to deliver New Zealand's exciting new Te Kaha / Canterbury Multi-Use Arena in Christchurch. BESIX Watpac are seeking an experienced Site Engineer (Fitout) to join our supportive and high experienced project team.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Ensure compliance with the Company Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with plans, designs and specifications.
  • Interpret designs for implementation in construction projects and contribute to improvements to existing designs.
  • Monitor construction progress for adherence to design, programme, safety and quality.
Qualifications

The incumbent in this role will require the following qualifications and experience:

  • Recognised tertiary or trade qualification in a construction related field.
  • Prior experience in a site coordination or engineering position, with experience in reviewing shop drawings and carrying out site inspections.
  • Ability to communicate and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
