Our client has an immediate requirement for an IT Security Analyst to join their large scale Enterprise Data Migration and Transformation Programme of work based here in Auckland.

Your role will be responsible for supporting the Security Architect in delivering security outcomes for the clients reform programme. You will also be responsible for assisting with various security tasks spread across the Architecture and Governance functions.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following skillsets and experience;

  • At least two years' experience in a comparable Cybersecurity role particularly in the government sector, commercial environment, or other service orientated large organisation
  • Experience monitoring of security dashboards and logs for security issues within the programme
  • Capable of providing support for all security incident response including Information gathering and the ability to determine risk & impact
  • Able to create and contribute to incident reports
  • Experience with security operations, risk assessment, or other GRC functions including the development of security policies, standards, processes and guidelines
  • Experience managing external testing providers/vendors (desired)
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and industry standards
  • Familiarity with the NZISM and Protective Security Requirements
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • Good relationship management skills
  • Able to manage multiple tasks concurrently with good time management skills
  • Strong collaboration and risk management skills
  • Strong analytical and evaluative skills, able to effectively present insights to a range of audiences
  • Strong advisory skills, able to translate technical terms to nontechnical people
  • Resilient with good practices of selfcare
