Do you have a passion for respiratory and sleep physiology?

Are you looking for a role which provides the opportunity for development of your skills and knowledge with on the job training?


Respiratory and Sleep physiology investigations at Counties Manukau District are a growing part of the services offered by the Respiratory team.

We now have a position available for an experienced or provisional (trainee) Respiratory Physiologist to join us based at Manukau Super Clinic.

Your responsibilities will include carrying out Lung Function tests and you will also be actively involved in the sleep service.

We are looking for a versatile, innovative, motivated team player with a commitment to excellence.


Alternatively, for the provisional role, a passion for respiratory physiology and a Bachelor of Science (preferably majoring in Physiology or Science) is required.

Preference will be given to holders of a Masters qualification relating directly to the role. We will provide necessary training to become a qualified Respiratory Physiologist.


If you have excellent organisational and communication skills, enjoy a challenge and have the ability to manage time efficiently we want to hear from you.

Essential (Provisional):

  • Relevant Bachelors Science degree

Essential (Qualified):

  • CRFS exam
  • Registered or eligible to register with the Clinical Physiologist Registration Board

  • Experience in respiratory testing and sleep medicine
