NZCommunity Living is a national provider of a range of support options for children, young people and adults who live with a physical and/or intellectual disability.

Our team is our greatest asset, and we are committed to employing and training the best people. NZCommunity Living is looking to put an energetic and motivated team together that will people in their own home.

The team will provide a safe environment where people can develop confidence, build friendships with peers and interact with others in the community.


We are looking for permanent full time, part time and Casual Support Workers to help the people we support in our Upper Hutt residential services.

This is a 24/7 roster Monday to Sunday which includes working overnight and alternate weekends. This will suit people who are looking for flexibility and more regular longer shifts in one place.

What does a Support Worker do?


You support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives to achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming or attend sporting events, arts and crafts, movies or shopping - the list is endless Support Workers are part of a team who work shifts or specific rosters providing 24/7 support.

This is a busy and diverse role, supporting people with various aspects of daily living such as personal cares, supporting with meals, household management tasks and teaching life skills.

Whilst experience in supporting people would be an advantage, it is not a necessity for those with the right attitude.
