MBFSNZ is seeking a highly motivated and talented Financial Analytics Manager to join our team in Newmarket, Auckland. As a Financial Analytics Manager, you will be the expert in financial analysis, reporting activities and business optimization on margins, portfolio risk and provisioning, customer behaviour and dealer performance within the Company, with experience within the NZ Finance Industry.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the Financial Analyst Manager plays a crucial role in driving financial analysis, research and forecasting to support key business strategy and initiatives. What you'll do:

  • Support and influence the organisation by developing and implementing key financial analytics strategies to support the company's goals and objectives;
  • Analyse and interpret key financial data, providing insights and trends to the wider team and senior management to aid with decision-making;
  • Conduct and drive financial analysis to assess company performance, opportunities and forecast future financial outcomes;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support with financial and business objectives;
  • Prepare and present insightful financial reports, presentations and recommendations to senior management and leaders;
  • Prepare and submit month-end data and reports accurately and in a timely manner with variance insights;
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting to mitigate risk;
Qualifications

The skills we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field;
  • Proven experience as a Financial Analytics Manager or similar role within the finance or commercial sectors, with at least 5-10 years' experience in financial analysis and reporting role;
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present to all levels of the organisation;
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting and data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL and/or other financial reporting tools;
  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
