The opportunity
Auckland Council's Communications department has an opportunity for a fixed term Specialist - Channel within their Brand and Channel team.
In this role, you will be tasked with the day-to-day operational management and optimisation of some of Auckland Council's most high-profile channels, including the OurAuckland digital channels.
Day-to-day you could expect to:
- Work with a variety of stakeholders to deliver key pieces of communications like the quarterly Ratepayer's Update
- Work with our research team to determine the OurAuckland channel awareness, preference, attributes, and effectiveness
- Present channel updates to the department
- Evaluate and review research data from our People's Panel and develop actionable insights
- Keep the OurAuckland roadmaps uptodate
- Support the delivery of OurAuckland owned channels optimisation initiatives

About you
You will love making sure that our channels are operating as effectively as they can - using data to drive your recommendations.
You might have a product management or research background, and you are equally comfortable being hands-on as you are developing data-driven insights.
Ideally you understand marketing and like the idea of working in a small team within a large department. You have proven experience at developing excellent working relationships, and a strong customer-first approach.We will be looking for people who have:
- Experience with interpreting research and channel data
- Omnichannel 'productmanagement' based experience
- A strong appreciation for marketing and associated disciplines
- Experience developing and translating datadriven insights into actions and roadmaps
- Experience in a complex organisation
