You'll be responsible for:

  • Identifying faults on electricity supply lines
  • Analysing the cause of faults
  • Recommending remedial work to fix them

We are looking for someone who treats safety as a priority and has great team ethics. Obviously you will be part of our faults standby roster which includes evenings and weekends. This role will involve liaising with the public so your customer service skills will be on form. This is your opportunity to be part of a tight knit professional team.

Who we're looking for

  • You'll be working on a variety of exciting projects and may have to do rostered hours, callouts and weekend work.
To be successful in this role, it is essential to have the following:

  • NZ Distribution Line Mechanic qualification (required to work on the Vector Network) with a current NZ EWRB Practicing licence
  • At least two years' solid Line Mechanic experience under your belt
  • A valid Class 2 driver's licence, Class 4 licence (preferable not essential)
  • A great work attitude and willingness to be part of a diverse team along with a strong focus to health & safety
  • Ability to communicate and work under minimum supervision
